is there a way i can go back to how the ipod was before i put rockbox on with out taking rockbox off?

1.  Please read the forum guidelines.  One of the guidelines is to use descriptive titles.
2.  You can uninstall Rockbox with the same tool that you installed it with, but you'll be unable to use Rockbox until you reinstall it.  For further instructions, consult the manual.

3. You can dual-boot into the Apple firmware. The manual, which you are required to search first by our posting guidelines, tell you how this works.
