serious ipod nano problems...
« on: September 13, 2007, 09:46:22 PM »
let me start by saying that i love this program and i think it's great.
the only problem is, i can't use it to listen to music!

i went ahead and installed the current (not daily) build on my 1st gen ipod nano, and everything looked sugar sweet. i managed to load in my itunes songs and everything. i went to go play a song file for the first time, and i tried to raise the volume a tad. it worked, but after i did that, the system went into freefall, and began randomly skipping from track to track in the current folder/playlist. is there no support for m4a's? or whatever itunes rips a song as? that may well be the problem, but it appears to happen even to most mp3's. the mp3's that DO work, sound horrid compared to the same file played in the original firmware.

Data abort at 01F00034
is an error i sometimes see after this starts happening.

hopefully someone out there knows what i should do, because i love this program, and really want to continue using it!

and to update: apparently the problem is gone, although now if i try to play a song that was ripped from itunes, i get strange errors that don't always cause a crash, so i guess it's livable.

Please don't double post - it's right there in the forum posting guidelines.

Second - there is already a post for this problem in the forums - so please read it, and post there - don't start a whole new thread.
