1st gen iPod

Help!!!

I have a 1st gen iPod that I am trying to put Rockbox on but all I get from the ipodpatcher is no iPod found.  Any ideas?  The iPod was originally a Mac but wass converted to Windows and runs fine with the latest version of iTunes.  Appreciate your help.

This is an installation question, so you could've posted in the Apple Installation/Removal section.

I don't believe the iPodpatcher program was updated yet to include 1G and 2G iPods. You'll have to compile your own iPodpatcher from SVN with the required bootloader yourself.

I am so lost......Has anyone written an ipodpatcher for 1st Gen iPod.  I am a novice programmer.

The ipodpatcher is now updated for 1st gen and it works great.  I love Rockbox.
