"ipod linux 4:3" is not one of the options.  Choose the preset for the Nano.

i took alook but i didnt find a preset for the nano

Then you didn't properly install the .xml file from the wiki.

ok this is what im doing.
i downloaded winff 2.9
i copy the presets from the manual
i paste it in to a notpad doc and saved it to the winff fole in C drive
now i went to open it and it said access violation
