So I was going to install RockBox on my e280r.

I was trying to do the bootloader patching per

http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/vie...loaderPatching

I got the player in manufacturing mode, but had a problem running the e200 tool:

ubuntu@ubuntu:~/sansa$ ./e200tool recover BL_SD_boardSupportSD.rom
e200tool v0.2.3-alpha (c) by MrH 2006, 2007
Searching for device 0781:0720 ... found!
Failed to claim the interface (-1, Operation not permitted)
Searching for device 0b70:0003 ... 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0 not found!

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
Jason

GodEater:
Run it with "sudo"

mrknowitall:
thanks...I'm a bit of a linux looser

Another question:  Will putting RockBox on my e280r remove the Rhapsody features of the player?  When I boot into the sansa firmware, will I still have my Rhapsody Channels?

Thanks!

DavidGWRawson:
Just as long as you keep your files, it should be fine. Anyway, don't bother using the rhapsody channels if you have the MP3s(unless your already paying for your subscription.)

mrknowitall:
I'm not sure I understand your reply, David.  As long as I keep which files?

Rhapsody Channels are the bomb.  They are the reason I bought my e280r.  I want to dual boot Rockbox, but I am not willing to do it if I will loose the Channels functionality.
