Sansa e200 WPS does not display themes...

LambdaCalculus:
Monday's updates were for conditional viewports. There's a few threads on the forums regarding this, and you can also see the updates in the Subversion updates on the front page.

Again, please excuse my ignorance; I just started using RockBox last night, and as such, I'm not at all familiar with any jargon/syntax/technical terms associated with the software. I'm able to get it working, and I love it, and I've downloaded some themes with some pretty cool displays. I have no idea what a conditional viewport is, but I get the impression that the WPS issues I'm having will be addressed/fixed in future builds, is that correct?

I'd like to see the album art and nice displays on the WPS, but I don't want to go through the trouble of converting enough folder.jpg files for 65GB of music into the appropriate .bmp files if I can't even see them...

Thanks for the quick replies, by the way; there are a lot of very helpful people here, and it's much appreciated.

The only thing I can suggest (explaining everything specifically for you would take forever and might be more confusing than helpful) is to read through the wiki, particularly the CustomWPS page for these particular questions.  It might take a few days of poking around the website to get used to the terms of the project but it's not that complicated, just give it some time to sink in.

Basically, a change was made to the language of the WPS screens recently which caused most of those posted on the wiki themes page to stop working as intended.  So you can either figure out the language and update them to make them work again, wait for the original author to fix them, or simply use other themes which do work.

Aha! Now that I can wrap my head around. This makes sense, because one or two of the themes I've downloaded work, and the rest show me that plain WPS. I'll see if I can figure out some of the WPS file syntax and fiddle around with it...Thanks for your help, but I'll keep poking around here as well...
