Sansa e200 WPS does not display themes...

Yes, this is a noob question, just so you know.  Leave now if you are not going to help me.

So obviously, I'm new to RockBox, and right now I'm trying to figure out how to change the While Playing Screen theme.  I have downloaded some good themes, and I apply them, and I can see the changes, but that is just for my menus.  The themes I downloaded showed some nice WPS images too(partly why I got them).

So how do you change the WPS theme then?  I have been searching the forums and I didn't see anything in the manual.  I'm sorry if I missed something that tells me how.  If I did, simply make a kind remark and direct me to the proper page.

scorche:
Well, what is happening?...does the font change?...does the WPS not change at all or does it look different?

As well, saying "Leave now if you are not going to help me." is quite unnecessary...

Sup3rkirby:
I don't think the comment was unnecessary because I have seen post on this forum where someone comes and just makes a comment, rather than help the poster.

And as for what happens.  I'm sure you've seen the basic, default WPS.  Well, that is the screen I am left with.  It does not change the font, background, colors, etc.  It is simply the default WPS, even after I have changed the theme in RockBox.

Sup3rkirby:
No, no. My apologies. It seems that upon closer inspection, the font is changing.  Just not the WPS.  The fonts looked similar to me and so I didn't notice at first.

But I'm afriad this topic is done.  While playing around with my new sansa w/ RockBox, I discovered that the WPS is changed by going into 'Settings -> General Settings -> Display' and then choosing 'Browse .wps files'

Then once a .wps file is chosen, that screen is changed.  I didn't realize you could have a main them as well as a seperate one just for the WPS.  Since I'm new and have only seen the two packaged together, I just figured it was a global theme, and had to remain that way.

I apologize for having this posted when I was only to discover my problem and solution.  But like I said, I am new to this and this was a noob question.  So much of one that I was able to solve it myself.

But I still have an unanswered question, which is: why do only some of the .wps files work and some don't?  When choosing a .wps file, Some will load, and then I can see the change, while some others will load, but then I only see the default WPS, instead of the new WPS i selected?  Is this still just some issue?  Or is it in the .wps coding?  Or perhaps some other issue I have no idea about.

scorche:
If there are errors in the .wps file coding, then it will not load, much like how when compiling, the compile will fail if there are errors.

And it was unnecessary as it carried a rude overtone.  As well, it implies that we do not help "noobs".  The comments that you saw were likely because the poster violated our guidelines in some way and it was to point out to them their error and to ask them if they would be more careful next time.  Speaking of which, we prefer it if people would use the modify button instead of double posting.  ;)
