RockBox Screen isn't quite displaying properly
« on: September 11, 2007, 08:48:12 PM »
RockBox itself is working fine, but at the top of my screen the display is a bit messed up, so it is hard to see the top line(with the information on my mp3 player).

Any ideas?

Which player are you using?

Which build?

When did you install the bootloader?

Details help :)

Player: e260
Build: r14670-070911 (as told by RockBox Info)
Bootloader was installed after extracting the firmware onto my player(as instructed by the official manual).

And if you want the date, it was today(September 11, 2007) at about 8:30ish.

I have followed all instructions properly and this is probably why RockBox is installed with no real errors.

If you want more details, I can tell you that the graphics mess up is a very small line(1 or two pixels) that sits at the top of the screen, making it difficult to see the details(like battery level, volume, etc.)  It sems to be mostly blue, but there is a small area of yellow as well.

Also, I just found out that with some of the Themes I have just installed, the top info bar is not even visible.  An example of a theme that does this is: RettumPod or DockPodAA.

And for even more information I can tell you that I am using the default firmware version of the sansa firmware.  I have not yet updated it yet since I'm not sure if it will cause an error.  The version number is 01.00.12A

I hope I have provided enough information to have the issue solved, or at least realized.

That is because they disable it.

Thanks for all the details - this was fixed a few days ago, hence me asking exactly what build you used, and only affected the Sansa E200 series hence me asking what player.  A new bootloader was part of the fix, and I am wondering if a new bootloader for Sansa has actually been released yet.  If not, you (through no fault of yours) have an old one and need an update.  Hopefully a Sansa guru can confirm.

Well according to http://download.rockbox.org/bootloader/sandisk-sansa/e200/ the bootloader is still an old one.
