Updates?

(1/2) > >>

Rob:
I use Rockbox h3xx (not specialised build), and the last time I updated was a couple of months ago, March I think. I went to update today, and it all looks very different - there is now:

Date    Package       Maps    Changes     Voice       Rev

When before there was just Date and Package I think. What are the other ones - I spent ages reading the manual before, so I know most things, so I don't want to read it all again just to understand what they are. Are they essential? And has there been any major additions to Rockbox in the time, such as the NES emu I've always wanted >_>

Thanks :)

GodEater:
Where are you reading that from ?

Rob:
http://www.rockbox.org/dl.cgi?bin=h300

GodEater:
I'd stick to downloading the current build if I were you - then you won't have to worry ;)

http://build.rockbox.org/dist/build-h300/rockbox.zip

Or - to put it another way - no they're no essential.

The Changes just describe what went into that release, so it's not a "download" as such.

The "Voice" is the voice files to go with that build. They've been build specific for a month or so now.

The "Maps" are of interest only to developers interested in debugging things.

Rob:
Is the current build the one that was put out that day, or the older, more stable version? It's been a while and I can't remember >_>
