How do i add patches

I am relatively computer illeterate, it took me 2 hours to add rockbox. Now can someone help me add patches.

Adding patches involves downloading and modifying the Rockbox source code and then compiling your own build of Rockbox.  If you do not have a Linux development environment, you would need to set one up.  The Simple Guide to Compiling wiki page explains how to do this.  In all honesty, however, if you are not very computer literate, your better bet would be to simply look for an existing build that contains the patches you would like.  You can find such builds in the Unsupported Builds Forum.
