oh now i know were the root is but the rest of my post thanks, but that web page is still mest up.

Instead of just clicking on the link, right click and select "Save link as..." or "Save file as..." (depending on your browser).

The root is the top-most directory of the drive.  So if your Sansa is F:, then the root is F:\
