Is there a way to make rockbox have different menu types, like rhapsody? Where the items rotated. what about .wps?

.wps stands for "While Playing Screen." This is literal: It changes the screen you see while playing.

Ok. Will anybody be working on a cusomizable system? You could add a feature or something, like wps, only for recorder or whatever else. I'll go to the feature request.

Make sure to search thoroughly first, there's probably already a feature request for it.

In fact, there were already patches to "wps" the recording screen and FM screen. They were a year out of sync though. If you wanted to sync them you probably could.

EDIT: Also, I believe that there is a patch for a graphical menu (like the one you were talking about on the sansa).

extending the recording screen to support some type of customizability has already been discussed. It's just waiting for viewports to not duplicate work ...
