Updated: rockbox nano 4gb 1st gen database problem
AmbiquitY:
what is DAP? I'm telling you i'm a real noob :) i'll delete all the songs and put 2 back on and reinstall the bootloader and stuff, hope it works
Chronon:
DAP = Digital Audio Player
I don't think reinstalling the bootloader will matter. Just try adding a small number of files first and see if it will build properly.
AmbiquitY:
ok so i even recovered my ipod to start like completely over and i only put 2 songs on it, the database build properly, when i booted it initialised perfect i could see the 2 songs when then when i tried to play one i got an error :
Prefetch abort

I'll try rebooting...
EDIT: i rebooted (menu+select cause i couldnt do anything after the error) and now when i go to the database, there's the statusbar at the top and nothing else..
EDIT 2: (rebooted again) it all seemed to work fine, played a sond still worked, sound quality was bad but it worked, then i wanted to skip to the next song and i got an other error :
Undefined instruction
at 00ADBEF6 (0)
dont know what to do...
Chronon:
What model is your iPod? If it's a nano, then these problems may have something to do with the playback issues that a subset of 1st generation nanos seem to experience.
What do you mean by "sound quality was bad"?
AmbiquitY:
nano 1G 2GB, and there was like alot of distortion on the music... Â Would getting an older build help anything? if yes where can i find it cause i've got no idea
