To buy or not to buy

Im stuck in a sort of tricky situation. Im thinking about buying an ipod, but I dont know if i should get the 5.5G or the 6G.  ???I would really like rockbox on my ipod, but heres some questions that I need answered.

1. Are the features on the 6G worth buying instead of the 5.5G with rockbox?
2. Do gameboy games run and work well on the 5.5G ipod?
3. Are there any serious problems with running rockbox on the 5.5G?
4. Do you need to downgrade a new 5.5G ipod or anything to run rockbox?

Id really appreciate if someone could help me with choosing an ipod.

50% of original firmware battery life.  Poor video playback (should use original firmware for video).

4. Do you need to downgrade a new 5.5G ipod or anything to run rockbox?

No.

You missed the all important question #5:
Q:  "Will Rockbox ever run on the 6th generation iPod?"
A:  Very likely not anytime soon, if ever.

Thanks for the quick reply. I knew rockbox might never work on the 6G, i read about it in the forum somewhere. When you say the gamboy games dont work well is it because of controls or frame rate issues etc.. Could you play simple games like tetris or super mario.
