Video size

Okay, I got the video player to work on my ipod nano, but I have a problem with the video size

Because the video is a little to big, some of it gets cut off, so I actually only view the upper left corner of the video.'

So does anyone know a good program or way to convert the video size so it fits the screen of the ipod?
