files deleted thru rockbox showing up in database

They're showing up in my playlist as De35 or De42 and in my database under their normal file names.

How can I a) see these files to permanently delete them and b) prevent this from happening in the future?

They showed up after I rebuilt my database so I'm not sure that's a solution here.

They should not be there if you deleted using the built-in Rockbox functionality, but thay may be in a recycle bin/trash folder if you used a PC/Mac.

Try playing one of them then bringing up the ID3 info via the context menu. That will tell you the exact location of the file on disk.
