Problems with Iriver H10
« on: September 07, 2007, 05:31:54 AM »
Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I can't see anywhere more suitable, mods, please feel free to move this if you want.

I recently installed Rockbox on my Iriver, I do think it's allot better than the original firmware.  However it regularly seems to cause my player to crash for no reason.  The screen goes blank and I have to hit the reset button to restart it.

Has anyone ever came across a problem like this before?

Thanks,

Thomas.

Can you tell us what SVN build you're using? You can see this at the startup splash screen or by going into System > Rockbox Info at the main menu. It's a string of numbers that starts with an r.

Also let us know if you're using an H10 5/6GB or the H10 20GB model.

He said reset button, which means he has a 20gb. The 5/6gb ones have a removable battery, the 20gb doesn't. My 6gb did that a long time ago (more than half a year ago) I doubt you can do anything about it.

Since I'm not very familiar with the H10s, this is good information to have on hand. I just asked him the standard questions about SVN and which model because it would help deduct if he's having a hardware or software issue.

Thanks for that little slice of information, Mad Cow.

That build is over a month old. Try a current build first, as you also got asked to do first by the forum guidelines.
