Getting Rockbox to Run on Sansa e200r

<< < (2/10) > >>

DavidGWRawson:
New details: I was doing the bootloader patching, when it finally patched, it started up saying things i cant remember at the top, but at the bottom, it said 'cannot find rockbox .mi4. I could not put it on since it would not go into usb mode. When i plugged it in to see what happens (not recovery mode), it said it found rhapsody firmware, but then the screen started to fade white around the edges, then it spread all over the screen. I turned it off and eventually loaded e250r bootloader and firmware, which doesn't work on e260r. Im glad it's not totally dead. Is there a way just to simply reset it, such as opening the sansa and removing an internal battery or something? Thanks. If you find an e260r bootloader, tell me. Thanks again.

Bagder:
Allow me to say this:

Please be a lot more specific what happens and describe with all details exactly what you're doing.

We can't help you if you just keep rambling on.

DavidGWRawson:
never mind now, all I need is the sansa e260r bootloader and that's it. Ill put it on and it will work. Right? It works to the point where it now accepts firmware updates and formatting commands in recovery mode. Won't it work? Please?

Bagder:
The installation description works fine, no matter what R model you have as the bootloader is identical. So if you followed the instruction, I'm quite sure you already have the bootloaders (the rockbox one, the original sansa one as well as the binary-patched one).

And no, I don't know if that's the only thing missing since I don't understand your situation.

Llorean:
There is no "e260r" bootloader, there is one bootloader for the whole e200r series, because they're all exactly the same but with different amounts of storage.

Please, if you come to experts for help, assume that they really are experts and answer their questions.
