well when i open tag and rename, what do i do from there? cause dont i ahve to find the songs on it?

This is getting off-topic for the forums.  I've never used it before, but I just downloaded it and find the interface to be very intuitive.  Perhaps you can use the integrated Help files to learn how to use that program.

If your problem is that you don't know where to find music files on an iPod (I'm assuming since you never mentioned what DAP you are using), then you should look in "\iPod_Control\Music\".  Recall that the iPod_Control folder is hidden by default.

Ok, this is well off topic now.  I suggest you ask the tag and rename people how to use their software.  If you have an iPod your files are in the iPod_Control folder.  If you can't do that, another option is to retag the music on your PC and then retransfer it.
