mrmimis06:
Installed rocbox, been using it for a week or so. Initiated the database and was working fine. Since than I have booted onto the ipod software and had to reload my whole music because of some setting issues i had on itunes. Booted back onto rockbox and my music no longer would play? I think I know what happend consider that I had reloaded my music through the ipod software.
Well I went onto the setting through rockbox, than to general settings and than to database. There were a few options there.

elborak:
Try running the "disktidy" plugin and then rebuilding the database.
mrmimis06:
thanks elborak. I did it and it seemed to work. It wont play the duplicates any more. However, some duplicates are still showing up. Any idea how to get rid of them for good.
Am I going to keep having this problem if I use itunes software to upload new songs or remove some songs. Rockbox is great, but not being able to create playlists on your pc is a big bummer. I read one of the threads recently where you and another dude were being hammered by the rockbox crew. Kind of messed up.
Llorean:
You can create playlists on your PC in more ways than I could count. I don't know where you've gotten the impression that you can't.
melancholydm:
seriously many people have been assuming that lately... hell I just made a new playlist minutes ago by just using foobar, I havent even touch itunes since rockbox started working on 5.5g
