1.  The installation was tested with VMWare, which allows you to run Linux in Windows, though it was found it didn't work.

Which I explained just a few posts up...

Yes.  You can set up a Linux development environment, modify the source code and then compile your own custom Rockbox build.

Thank you for telling me that, but other than that you could not modify settings under windows?
*it seems Linux is better for excicuting tacks
*could this be tried by using mods (operating system)? or is is command prompt-since is uses text based functions?

You can use Windows, but you still need to set up a Linux development environment using something like Cygwin or VMWare.  Read this:  http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome?topic=SimpleGuideToCompiling

It's not going to make any sense to do that because i need to get the original linux to even get rockbox on my player.
I'm just tring to toss around ideas so stop me if I am saying foolishness.
*mabe if we tried to replace (although that would not be smart because rockbox not a stable build for the sansa yet and will have a fex bugs) the original fimware like a update it would run rockbox only.
*but then again mabe this was said already when you (Rockbox people) said "the fimware could not be updated in this way... or something like that.

I think it's quite ovious that I can't help develop rockbox....
*the emulator that suposse to play game boy and/or game boy color games(i know it can't play advance because of the lack of prosser power) I heard that it can't run both the sansa fimware and the rock box fimware-is this true?

*If real releases an update for the sansa will that automatically change the bootloader (assuming we have rockbox on your player), thus bricking the player?- you can't update the bootloader
*(also assuming rockbox is on) Should we just update the sansa fimware (real fimware) or should we get advice from rockbox developers first?

This question doesn't make any sense at all.  Rockboy is part of Rockbox.  It does not run in the Sansa firmware.

Easy answer:  once you run Rockbox, you won't care about the Sansa firmware.

Since the Sansa requires a 160 bit signature, which we can't get.  This signature is checked every time you start up your player, which is why you kept getting "Load main image failed."  By using a patched bootloader, we can remove the signature check, but to upgrade the bootloader, we need to use e200tool, which would basically the the same thing we are currently doing.

Can't we just (or at least me) ask them for it. Or is this because they saw the sansa e200 being themed, rockboxed and such and they wanted to stop people from moding there fimware?! (just like xbox and nintendo updates it's fimware to block mods systems to work)

Will Daemon Tools Work As Well? It's an ISO mounting application.
So you want to run a windows app to mount a Linux ISO image and then boot from this image? That makes no sense.

I have Rockbox installed on 2 e250rs now, one is older with old scroll wheel and one has the new scroll wheel, although there is 1 thing that i found everything else works without a hitch.  Well this is cosmetic but the top row of pixels in the Official Firmware looks corrupted on my old e200, i think it also was on the new e200r but i gave that to my friend now so i cant say much about it.  Im pretty sure they were both corrupt top row of pixels.  Well either way can anyone help?
