Can I switch from MSC mode to MTP mode while having rockbox installed?

no

your computer will not reconize your sansa with rockbox at all
but you still can switch from MSC  to MTP mode with the original firmware

But can I turn on the e250 while holding left, then go to settings and chage to MTP, transfer music, unplugg, chage back to MSC and turn off?
