Im running rockb0x and every time i get the usb cable of it says that the battery is empty the ipod turns off and it wont go on

It only goes on by holding menu and select

What the hell is this im charging it now .,.......... maybe it wont matter its maybe just a full batery but it just says that the battery is empty or something like it
