iriver ihp 120 doesn´t boot

Hi there.
I´ve played with  my iriver iHP 120, trying to charge it with a home made battery (bg mistake !).
After that, the player , when i press the _on_ button don´t do nothing. It only boot if I press the reset button, but it comes with the iriver logo freeze, and do not access to de hard disc at all. Also, the red led remains alwais lighting. Andthe only way to make disappear that logo is disconnecting the battery

Previously I had a rockbox installed. If I press reset and continuously the _on_ button, it is trying to load rockbox, but in 2 seconds I can read:
rockbox  ;  Loading firmware  ;  result:  -1   ; and inmediatly it will to the freeze iriver log tha appear in the original frmware. If I remove the hard disc, that freeze logo remains there so, it is not a problem of the HD.

Also,I can access to de HD by the boot loader.
The question is: can I fix and install a clean firmware directly in the player without to use de hard disc? I mean, install remove and install the firmware in the mother board of the playe directly?

Or if anyone has other suggestion, I´ll apreciate
