iPod usb cable disconnects ONLY with rockbox

While Rockbox's disk mode may be "usable"  relatively soon, it may be some time yet before performance and stability are good enough that you'll want to actually use it.

yes, there is that.  but it is just another difficultly of using rockbox over Apple firmware that i desire to go away.  and it looks like it will, so i'm happy.
