About restore option(Nano)

Hello!
Well i want to know if i do a restore on my iPod Nano, will i need to do the whole Rockbox installation again? I'm asking this because I'm thinking in restore my iPod, since that some problems with my battery became common(like full discharge, but i think that i need too change it).
