Can I do something like Archos queue mode?
« on: August 20, 2007, 12:32:26 AM »
The Gmini 220 has a queue mode where I can enqueue a new track so it starts playing after the current track is finished.  Playback then continues in the new track's directory.  Is it possible to do something like this with Rockbox?  I am not asking for a mode necessarily, just some means to make a different directory start playing after the current track.

Have you tried selecting a directory and in the context menu choosing "Play Next"?

I've tried normally adding the directory I want to play next to the playlist.  I see that "Play Next" is better because it clears out the playlist.  This still doesn't let me start at a certain point in the directory unless I delete all tracks before the one I want.

I guess I'll get used to doing things the Rockbox way.  Right now my main problem with Rockbox playlist functionality is that it takes multiple button presses to do common things.  It would be nice if I could just press a single button to do some things, like adding to playlist while in the file browser or deleting a track from a playlist.  For example F2 and F3 don't seem used in the playlist viewer and they could be move and delete.
