flac not playing on ipod 30gb 5th generation

i downloaded some flac music files today and my 5th gen 30gb freezes when ever they are selected. i dragged and dropped them onto the rockbox dir, my rockbox is not initialized if that matters. anyway, i got rockbox on my ipod so i could play flac, any1 know a solution?  i tried converting the downloaded flacs to flac again with cdex just to see what would happen, and cdex would'nt convert, just stuck at 0%, thanks.

It sounds like there is a problem with the FLAC files.  Do they play on your computer?

What Rockbox build are you running?  (please note that this is information required to be included in your post by our posting guidelines)

i am sorry for not including the required information.  they play fine in winamp.  i am running the version that has the girl in the rockbox logo flashing an ipod at you. hold on i am waiting for it to stop transferring files in a minute and i will get the version when its done.

Don't bother.  That is an unofficial build.  Please download an official build from the "current build" link on the left and see if you can replicate your problem.  If so, then by all means report back.  But if not, you should take up the issue with whoever maintains the unofficial build you are using.

i downloaded this build so i could run the jclix theme, can i run the theme on the official build as well?

did what you said G, thanks alot, you guys have an INCREDIBLE program on your hands, now all i need to do is get that pesky theme back. thanks alot for prompt help, if there ever comes a time when you guys need donations to keep this site running, forum, and program development going, i will donate for sure. apple sucks, rockbox rules.

hi, i'm new in this, well... i got this problem, i installed already the rockbox in my 30gb ipod video, i want to listen mi flacs, i dunno how to play flacs, i dunno if i have to put it in any rockbox folder or something, help plz...

Just drag and drop your FLAC files onto your iPod, browse to them in Rockbox and press "Select."  If you need more information, I suggest that you read through our fine manual.
