help with filenames
« on: August 17, 2007, 04:37:29 PM »
i have not initialized my database yet, well actually i did at first, however after installing jbuild for those sweet themes it uninitialized my database which is fine, cause i think initializing it may have been a mistake. so anyway, when ever i goto to FILES and see what songs i have, i cant tell what song it is, every song is 4 capital letters like, RCOP RPZR RRXU ENYT etc, and its all aphabetical from top to bottom.  when i first initialized everything was organized under database by artist, etc.  how can i get it to pickup the names of the files under files, so that they are not random four letters?

Those ARE the names of the files. Talk to Apple about having iTunes not randomly rename files.

To remedy this, do not use iTunes to transfer the songs. iTunes is renaming them to crazy things, like I said.
