Rockbox can only play MPEG 1 and 2 videos, not MPEG 4 which is what the videos in apple's os use. So, your answer is no. If you want to play your podcasts just restart your iPod and put hold on as it starts to boot, if you did it right it wil boot into apple's os and you can play yuor videos. To get back to Rb just restart and keep hold off.

mpeg2 files are still pretty good, I think it's the same codec that your satellite dish uses  :P

and it allows me to play video files with full quality and full framerate on my small ipod nano.

you just need a different video converter like vlc to convert your video files.

The ipod nano's LCD is much smaller than video ipod's, hence it has to decode smaller images which take less time to render. You can't play videos at full framerate on the video ipod with mpegplayer. You need to use the Apple Firmware to get decent video playback.

Rockbox will also not play .mov files (but apple's firmware does) still i'd suggest finding a converter somewhere and encoding them in Mpg2
