@Febs sorry for the double post, but maybe you have not seen the long post above the post you answered.

it was just a side effect, i accidentally hold the button and got the effect. i thought i post it to give you as much information as possible.

i switched thread because the problem matches mine.

Latest Rockbox not working on Nano

As it hasn't been said before, here is a bit of explanation:

The Rockbox bootloader can be used to load iPodLinux.  Holding PLAY when booting makes the bootloader try to do that.  You are seeing it fail, as you don't have iPodLinux installed.
