Dictionary Plugin
« on: August 14, 2007, 01:59:19 AM »
I rescently became interrested at the dictionary plugin. I downloaded the dict.zip file on the wiki and extracted in /.rockbox. Everytime I use dict in Applications, it says "Failed to open index." "Plugin returned error". So the dict plugin is unusable? Oh and I searched in the Manual but there's no dict plgin in Application...

Thanks for help

You have to put both dictionary files in /.rockbox/rocks/apps/
or in ./rockbox/ if you use an older version of rockbox (~1 or 2 weeks).

point 5 on that page:

"5. Copy dict.desc and dict.index to /.rockbox on the player."

should be changed to:

5. Copy dict.desc and dict.index to ./rockbox/rocks/apps on the player.

Out of curiosity, why didn't you just fix the page if it's got a problem, (:@)?

My native language is not english as you may guess from my writing.
Therefore it's not very likely that I have anything to contribute to the wiki
and only to change a path isn't worth a registration.
