That is not necessarily true. I experienced the problem myself and was able to advise others on the forum (to a successful conclusion) with the same problem on their nano's.
The problem is that so much is unknown about the Apple hardware and hardware revisions are made even within a model version that it is a constant struggle to keep on top of them. Witness the recent nano 'crashing' problems. On identical (but recent) Rockbox versions some people experience constant crashing and other, like myself, have had no problems.

Maybe I'm wrong then, but I have a feeling that something is wrong with the low-battery screen that it does not know how to exit itself. There is no way an ipod needs 2-3 days of charging to be above "low-battery". I personally will try boot into the normal firmware as soon as possible - it might help and it certainly won't hurt.

Ahm....now I'm getting nervous.... ??? is there a solution or not? 'cause my iPod is about 40 hours on USB and still showing the very low battery screen, even if do a reset by hold combo+ menu and select combo.

Maybe try disconnecting from USB and connecting again? And according to the 2-3 day theory, you possibly need to wait as much as 72 hours. Have some patience. :)
Kakoo:
Okay, i will be patient...have an iPod every time is not too good, after that you can´t live without it! :-\

If everything fails, you could still take the battery out and connect it to the PCB of a cellphone battery, and then charge it with the cellphone.
But that's a last desperate measure ;)
