Does no-one actually listen to music on their iPods? grumble, grumble...

That's all I use mine for. The only reason I got an iPod video 80gb was for the storage space. I couldn't care less about the video. I tried it on the ipod firmware, but it got old after a couple of minutes. I must admit, though, listening to Moe. or Umphrey's McGee while playing Jewels is a great way to pass the time.

While far from an iKiddie, I will up and say I use my iPod video for 3 things: Audio, flash drive, and Jewels.  It makes such a good flash drive because, other than my wallet, it's the only item that I keep on me at all times (for over a year too) so it's so convenient.  Jewels is pretty much for when I'm waiting somewhere where I don't need my attention on anything, again because I the iPod is always with me.

Why is it always with me?  Rockbox rocks, that's why.

Hey, I was just wondering JPEG's are the only file format that have a dedicated viewer right?
I ask cause I keep my images as BMP's so there's no quality loss but it seems there is no dedicated viewer for BMP's other than setting them as a backdrop.

Not quite true. Text files and Mpeg videos also have a viewer. It'd be better to say that jpegs are the only image type with a dedicated viewer (and that's assuming you don't include the painting tool for BMPs).

Music only 99%, Sudoku sometimes, solitaire a bit, and ebooks, the screen is a bit small, but it's OK, sometimes music AND ebooks, neat :-)

I haven't ventured near Doom or suchlikes, no interest......
