Increasing the LCD timeout?

I increased my LCD timeout to 60 seconds, but I'm still not getting enough time to read my podcast titles - the LCD is going black after only a few seconds.

What do I need to do to get more time to read my podcast titles under FILES?

This is on an iaudio X5.

Are you sure you have set the timeout correctly? You have to exit from the selection screen by pressing Select and not Back (or whatever the appropriate buttons for these actions are on your player).

What do I need to do to get more time to read my podcast titles under FILES?

You can hold down left or right to scroll through the filename, that way you can read it more quickly.
