Iriver H340 appears dead :(
« on: August 12, 2007, 05:06:59 AM »
hi,

i just put rockbox onto my iriver onto my H340. when i booted it up, it seemed to work. i was able to navigate for a while but then everything froze up and so i had to press the reset button because no buttons were working. when i started it up again, none of the buttons worked. i tried loading into the normal iriver o/s by holding the rec button down but it didn't work. it just continued into rockbox. no buttons worked from then on so i kept having to press reset.

with nothing working, i plugged my usb cable in and it said something about USB boot. then i don't know what happened. that disappeared and now the whole machine appears totally dead. cannot switch on, no buttons work and nothing happens when i plug the usb cable. i'm pretty sure i had close to a full charge because i had charged last night. actually rockbox said 3.7V i think.

any help would be much much appreciated...

thanks

That is a fairly low voltage and you could also try another press of the reset button.

This has happened to me many times when the battery is completely spent.  Plug in the charger and just let it sit, it will eventually come back up (unless something more serious is wrong of course.)
