fm radio on iriver jukebox not working

(1/3) > >>

sunnyco:
I just tried to listen to fm radio on my jukebox, and after I clicked on "fm radio" in the menu it asked to do a scan, so I did it.  Now, when I try to navigate the stations, it just takes off and runs through all the numbers, as if there are no stations.  I live in a major metropolitan area.  We have tons of radio stations.  What is going on.

Also, pressing the buttons, with the exception of the power off button, does nothing to stop it "scanning" the stations.

I read the instructions, but they were no help with trouble shooting this.

Thanks,

Sunny

AlexP:
H1x0, H3x0, H10?

pixelma:
Yes, we could help better if you tell us which device you have. But it sounds to me like you may have accidentally changed from "preset" mode to "scan" mode - check the button table in the FM radio chapter of the manual to see how to switch between them.

If that's not the case, you could also check the .fmr file in the .rockbox/fmpresets folder that should have been created by running the "auto scan". The FmPresets wiki page is the best source of information about them at the moment as the manual is a bit coarse in that area.

BigBambi: Why "H1x0, H3x0, H10"? ... the H10's radio isn't supported by Rockbox yet. ;)

And I thought I was infallible!

I didn't know that - I have/have used H1x0 and H3x0, but not H10  :)

sunnyco: Did you happen to try this without any headphones attached?
If I'm not misstaken, they're needed as antenna (aerial?)
