Omitting "The" In Database View

I had the hardest time trying to find a patch for this or it mentioned on the forum because the search feature ignores the word "the" so I'm sorry if this has been asked before. Please don't kill me.
In database view for rockbox, is it possible to have it sort alphabetically while omitting the word "The" before the artists? So a band like "The Fratellis" would be sorted in with the other artists starting with "F" instead of sorting it with "T."
Again, I'm sorry if I'm repeating a common question, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere.

Anyone know the flyspray number for patches that omit "The." I understand why it's not going to be implemented but it's just a feature I've grown accustomed to in winamp and amarok.

You might be interested in this patch that adds support for the performer, artist and track sorting tags (TSOP, TSOA, TSOT in ID3).
