iPod nano 1st gen doesen't work in disc mode
(1/1)
marsjannno:
Hi, I am forcing really difficult problem. Yesterday I installed rockbox on my nano. Unfortuneatly after i enebled some options, and rebooted, ipod schowed me info about missing rockbox.ipod file. I did what was said in there and reboooted and turn on disc mode. Unfortuneatly my linux machine (Ubuntu) doesen't see iPod now. It shows: do not disconnect.
I tried:
-rebooting entering disc mode and then connecting
-rebooting entering disc mode while ipod was connected
-putting USB cable into diffrent USB ports
-rebooting
-entering disc mode from orginal firmware
And it is still wrong. Today i am gonna try it on windows machine, but i don't think it is going to help.
If you have any idea what could help me, help.
GodEater:
If your ipod is showing the "Do not disconnect" screen, then it and the linux PC have recognised each other. You may just have to manually mount it.
