This is happening to me with SVN build r14712-070915, but it started sometime back in August (don't ask me to recall the SVN build, because for the life of me I can't remember). Yes, I should update, and yes, I tend to be a bit lazy about that. ;)
Serenity:
r14628-070906, if that helps. I just downloaded the latest--we'll see what happens.

--- Quote from: GodEater on August 10, 2007, 04:47:38 AM ---I've personally had this happen to me - with the hold switch either on or off - it doesn't matter which. The only difference is that with the hold switch on, the bootloader of course loads the Apple firmware, not rockbox, which then goes to sleep, and you have a working ipod when you come back to it in the morning.

i have the same issue, just as you have described. i always flick the hold switch when i turn off my ipod, so when this happens it boots into the OF, and goes to sleep where the battery doenst die fast. interesting though.
GodEater:
linuxstb has a suspicion about the commit which first caused the issue :
--- Quote ---My suspicion is r12522 from February - "Add wake on alarm support for Ipods. Rename HAVE_ALARM_MOD to HAVE_ALARM_RTC since it's not always a mod. Make Ipod PCF driver keep other flags in OOCC1 that have been set instead of overwriting them."
--- End quote ---
I have just compiled myself a customised build which reverses this change, and will monitor what my ipod does over the next few days / weeks.
In the meantime, is there anyone who remembers categorically that their iPod exhibited this behaviour PRIOR to February's change ?
