iPod 5.5(80g) & Nano turn themselves on ???

Yes, I'm still getting this too (caveat: running a build I compiled myself last week or so :) ), and in fact, I actually witnessed it happen last week too. My ipod had been sitting on my desk, very definitely turned off, when all of a sudden it just burst into life.

Still no idea why it happens though.  :-\

haha your post sounds funny but it actually happens. although i moved mine without touching the buttons this was about a week ago this happened. is this just random or is it actually a bug now?

I would say it is both random, and a bug.

And possibly nothing to do with Rockbox, though it could take quite some testing to determine this.

frause:
Does the ipod OF autoplay on startup? In that case, one would likely be able to find reports of this happening to non-rockboxed ipods too if the problem is unrelated to Rockbox.
