Patches
« on: August 09, 2007, 10:04:04 PM »
After Reading the wiki and searching the fourms I have come up with no way to figure out... How do I apply a patch The wiki made 0 sense to me. and all other posts were replied with "go to the wiki" I want to apply the 1p pong patch (pong upgrades) I tried the compled builds like mschnieder's but still stuck with 2 p pong. Can someone give me step by step i.e guide for dummies
such as if you were explaining how to eat:
-find food (((in fridge) in the kitchen)in your house)
-pick up food
-open mouth
-stick food in mouth
- extract fingers (leave food)
-repeatedly open and close mouth with food inbetweent the 2 sets of teeth until it is soft(the food)
- allow food to go down your throwt
-tighten throwt muscles in order to swallow.
lol I am an idiot plz help

Honestly, applying patches and compiling Rockbox takes some effort on your part to learn and understand.  It's not the type of thing that can be spoon fed to you and you probably won't find many people who will want to help you learn how to do it if you are not willing to invest some time learning the basics.

By the way, you've been asked before to follow our posting guidelines, and you've been told explicitly that we require the use of real English.  Please comply with our guidelines.

You also haven't said which Wiki page you were referring to...

If you read all these pages these in order and still can't understand it at all, then probably compiling is not for you. However, if you follow the instructions to the letter and then get stuck on a specific area, people will be more than willing to help if you accurately describe what you have done and where you are stuck.
