No battery charging indicator?

(1/2) > >>

goswell:
Hi, I have an iPod 4G Grey and I've just started using Rockbox.  So far it has been working well but I don't have a battery charging indicator when it's plugged into either the wall or via USB.  How do I turn that on?

Below is the build info for the version I downloaded

CPU: arm
Manufacturer: ipod
Version: r14252-070809

ld: GNU ld version 2.16.1
Host gcc: gcc (GCC) 4.1.3 20070601 (prerelease) (Debian 4.1.2-12)

LambdaCalculus:
I don't know how it works on the iPod 4G greyscale, but on my video, the battery indicator "animates" as if it's charging. Look at yours when you plug it in to see if it's blinking or animating.

goswell:
It's not doing anything as far as I can tell, it for sure is not blinking.

bluebrother:
are you referring to the battery icon in the statusbar or in the wps? Not all themes have a battery icon / animation in the wps. Also, there are some circumstances where detecting the charger doesn't work reliably -- the battery will charge but you won't see some "charging" indication.

LambdaCalculus:
Yes, I was referring to the battery icon in the status bar. I'm using DOSblue on my iPod as my theme, and the battery icon "fills" as the battery charges, but on the WPS screen, I have to watch the percentage of charge increase slowly.
