A Simple Rockbox Statement From A Happy User!

(1/1)

jackel:
I just wanted to take a minute to say to all the programmers:
THANK YOU FOR ROCKBOX!!

I have an 80g iMod running into an amp and have compared Rockbox to the Apple software and the Rockbox just plain kicks it's a--!!

Keep up the great work!!

gnu:
^ good to hear ;)

rockboxuser01:
I agree entirely - Rockbox is so far ahead of any other portable player firmware I've used that it's not even funny :)

Thanks to all the developers for their work!

countach:
I also have to say that RockBox is a dream come true.

Being no 'decent' MP3 player than Apple's one, I always refused to buy it because of that iTunes stuff.

All my entire MP3 collection is stored 'scene-style', in folders, with playlists, covers, nfos and sfv. Only thinking about converting all this to that weird and absurd iTunes systems made me shiver.

But some day, in a hi-end audio forum where I use to be, asking I there were any decent player as simple as something who reads a normal HD, someone replied with this RockBox mod on iPod, and here I am.

RockBox is the only solution to have something similar to foobar or winamp, in portables systems. And the extras are stunning, too.

I even installed to a friend's iPod, and got atonished, he simply couldn't live with iTunes.

I hope will be more refined time to time, specially in the battery issue.

Fantastic work! Keep on.

I agree completely with countach - that iTunes stuff is ultimate crap (sorry, if saying it is against the rules, but I had to..). You have to download some 100 MB for a god damn music player. Before I discovered Rockbox I used Foobar with a plugin, but Rockbox is so much better, just highlight the msuic and press copy and you're done. And there's allways something new, which is nice too. I just don't understand why people find it useful to use installers instead of just unpacking an archive and why do they want iTunes for placing music in their Ipod, which isn't a good thing either.
