Wrong menu item texts - or so?

Hello, i use the latest build of rockbox on my sansa e260 and many menü items have got wrong names! for example, in "plugins":
there are 3 items, "Gain left", "Gain right", "Split filesize".

in "general settings": "Playback", "playlists", "Cuesheet Support", "Database", "", "System", "limits", "ask - recent only", "Maintain a list of..."

Of course all these items effects other things (for example: "Ask-recent only" - it is "Language" !)

This is a sign that something has gone wrong with your installation, redownload a current build and install it, making sure that it overwrites old files.

If this fails, make a backup copy of your .rockbox folder and then it and unzip your new one.

It could be the new changes to the languages screwing up if you're not using english.

I had the same problem. what you should do is make sure your config.cfg does not have a english.lng set.

edit: and/or make sure you have the latest .lng, its possible you only updated the rockbox. file and not the langs folder

Im german and when i switch to german lanuage everything is wrong. if i go back to "english" some are right but some stays wrong.

I can confirm that problem.
I have an Ondio SP.

If I delete the config file and restart the player all is correct.
As soon as I switch the language back to German the problem occurs again.
Even if I switch the language back to English the bug is still present.

I have the same problem with my Ipod Nano.

Surely the up to date .lng files are downloaded with each Daily Build?

I loaded Nano build 2007-08-08 (rev 14238) - Menus as described by ChiefAlex.  Also no Voicing of menus, even though feature is turned on, and latest .voice file.

Reloaded back to 2007-07-25 and all works normally.

Please advise what exactly needs to be done to successfully upgrade to the latest version.

Where did you get the "latest voice file" from, exactly?

I got the voice file from the one that sits under the column heading of "Voice" alongside the Daily Build on the "Rockbox iPod Nano 1st gen Daily Builds" page.

I deleted the .rockbox directory and installed a fresh daily build (08.08.).

Just to clarify, are we talking about the displayed text here - nothing to do with voice files, right?

If so, if you delete *.voice from .rockbox/langs does that help?

In my case the problem is the displayed text and not the voice files.
I don't have any voice files installed.
