I've been using Rockbox since I got my video iPod a couple weeks ago, with no problem. Today I turn the thing on and it boots to the original firmware. Is there a way to force Rockbox to boot? Any help would be appreciated.

Is the hold switch on while you start the unit up?

And has iTunes recently asked you to update your firmware ?

The hold switch is off, and I've never used itunes.

Hmm - well I can't think of any reason why this should be happening.

Try re-installing the bootloader with ipodpatcher.

Before doing that, try resetting the iPod by pressing and holding Menu and Select simultaneously.
