Places to Buy a Gigabeat
« on: August 07, 2007, 01:01:04 PM »
Hello all,

I am looking to purchase a gigabeat but all I can find are ones on ebay.  Does anyone know if there are any other stores or places that still have them?

Have you tried Amazon.com? Or perhaps our Great God, Google?

...and what's wrong with the ebay ones? All my players (H120, nano, Gigabeat) have come from ebay (UK) and I've been most pleased.

Now that bascule mentioned it... I've seen them go for very cheap on eBay. Some are as low as $60 for a Gigabeat F20, new in the box.

Now that's a sweet deal! I'm thinking about getting my own Gigabeat or an iAUDIO X5 as my third DAP... oooh, decisions, decisions!

See, tecdude? You may get lucky on eBay and land a nice Gigabeat F40 for very little! Give it a shot!

Not to echo everyone else, but I got mine on ebay -- new in box and have had no problems with it whatsoever.  (I got one on amazon earlier this year, an allegedly refurbished one, and it kept freezing randomly every 1-2 days.)

Hi:

I've bought four Gigabeat F40s on Ebay from $80 to $105, for my wife, two friends and a colleague with no problems. There seems to be a steady supply of new in-the-box gigabeats. I got mine on Craigslist for $80 as well but I check regularly and most folks want around $175, the usual Craigslist MO of inflated prices for electronics.
