Are there any plans to extend file format support?

Specifically .gym, .nsf, or .spc files.

In case you didn't know that means Genesis, NES, and SNES.

Listening to Sonic 3 .gyms makes the .mp3s pretty undesirable, but rockbox can only play one of the two...

Well that pretty much screws over Sonic 3 royally.

Any chance .gyms will ever make it in?

How does support for one format screw over another format that's not supported?

Rockbox doesn't make plans. Everything is volunteer, so anyone interested is welcome to work on a .gym codec.
