Hello, I just bought my new Ipod 5.5G 80Gb Black other day and I'm trying to rockbox it.
I took sometime today and tried to follow the steps you guys laid out in the manual(which was great. Thank you.) and so far I have resetted my Ipod in window.
Now I connected my Ipod in a Mac and downloaded ipod video rockbox current build. It automatically unzipped as soon as I downloaded and gave me a folder named Rockbox. But I noticed that it had 0 items and nothing was in the folder so I was thinking what is going on. So I put that in the garbage can and I found .zip rockbox file in my trash. So I copied it onto ipod drive and upzipped in there. The progress bar showed me there are a lot of files being extracted but when it was done, there was nothing. And the manual said...
Note: If the contents of the .zip file are extracted correctly, you will have a folder called /.rockbox, which contains all the files needed by Rockbox, in the main folder of your player’s drive. If you receive a “-1†error when you start Rockbox, you have not extracted the contents of the .zip file to the proper location.
I was like...did I screw up somewhere? So, I tried to extract rockbox.zip it in my own hard drive(not in an Ipod drive) but then again, nothing. The progree bar again showed me there are bunch of files being unziped but there are absolutely nothing... I have no idea why folder named rockbox didn't show(except first time when it automatically extracted as soon as finished downloaded. It gave me a folder named rockbox but without any files inside) Do you guys have any idea?
