Sansa e280 playlists wont save

I can't seem to save a playlist or bookmark.  I go to save either one, it looks like it worked, but when I try to load a bookmark or open the playlist catalog, it says there are none.

I reinstalled rockbox, (and deleted the playlist folder in between) but it didn't help.

Any ideas?
